Welcome to Amigos de Animales!

 

We are an animal welfare organisation and no-kill shelter. Since we began our journey, we have rescued sick, hurt, suffering and abused animals in Barra de Potosí and the villages around. We operate between Zihuatenejo and Petatlan. 

 

We work closely with local communities to share knowledge about animal care, focusing on the importance of spaying and neutering as well as proper treatment and care of their pets and animals. Spreading the message that abuse, neglect and violence are unacceptable, we are working toward a better future for the animals and people of the area to live together in harmony.

 

Amigos operates strictly as a non-profit project, our work is funded solely by donations, the generosity of our amazing animal advocates and loving donors. 

 

Donations made to Amigos are spent on expenses for stray and rescued animals including food, vet care, medication, spay and neuter clinics, and educational outreach.
